Lessons from the Ark (Part 2): Noah Chose God Over the Noise

Noah

God gave Noah a clear instruction — “Build an ark.” (Genesis 6 and 7)

And along with that, He revealed what was coming…

A flood. A disaster. A reset because of the mess mankind had made.

But back then?

No rain.

No clouds.

Maybe not even the season for it.

Just a regular, sunny day.

Imagine that.

While everyone else was living their life — partying, making plans, travelling, laughing but

Noah was cutting wood.

Hammering.

Building something people didn’t even understand.

You can almost hear the mocking:

“Rain? Noah, have you lost.”

“You’re wasting your life.”

“Come on man, there’s a celebration tonight!”

And still, Noah kept building.

Do you think he ever felt tempted?

Probably.

He might’ve wanted to pause and go join the fun.

He might’ve felt tired.

Confused.

Even lonely.

But he didn’t stop.

He didn’t let the noise outside distract him from the calling inside.

Sometimes, we’re in that same spot.

You might be working on something that nobody understands.

A dream. A habit. A change. A calling.

You might be showing up every day, doing the work...

while everyone else seems to be out there “living their best life.”

And it messes with your head a bit.

You start asking:

“Am I doing the right thing?”

“Why does this feel so hard?”

“Should I also just go with the flow?”

But hear me when I say this —

Don’t stop.

Today’s hard work is tomorrow’s protection.

And today’s obedience is tomorrow’s testimony.

You don’t have to match the pace of the world or compete with them.

You don’t have to do what they are doing just because they are louder or shinier.

Most of what we see online is edited anyway. Half of it is for show. And the other half? They’re building something too — just in a different way.

So don’t panic.

Stay focused.

Trust the voice that told you to start.

Even if it looks small.

Even if no one claps for it.

Even if you feel tired.

Just keep showing up.

Because when the rain comes and it will, you'll be glad you built the ark.

Hope this connects with you.
And if you’re trying to get closer to God — don’t make it a big formula.💱➕➖➗🟰♾️

Just open your Bible, take your time with it, and let it talk to you.

It’s usually in those quiet, personal moments that He says the most.
