The power of Discernment -Knowing What, When, and With Whom to Share
Knowing What, When, and With Whom to Share
lets considers Joseph's 2nd dream,
When Joseph from the Bible shared his second dream(Joseph's second dream is recorded in Genesis 37:9) with his family-the one where the sun, moon, and eleven stars bowed to him—it wasn’t met with excitement or understanding. In fact, even his father questioned him, asking if he believed his own parents and siblings would bow down before him. This dream, though divine in purpose, caused tension and offense within his family.
In life, this teaches us an important lesson: we don’t always know who might be offended or upset by our lifestyle, progress, success, or even our dreams. It’s crucial to be mindful of what we share and with whom. Not everyone will understand your vision or support your journey, even if they are your closest loved ones.
This isn’t to say you shouldn’t trust your family or those around you, but it’s a reminder to be discerning. If Joseph’s own parents and siblings struggled to accept his dream, it’s natural to understand that not everyone around us will see or celebrate what God is doing in our lives. Vigilance and wisdom are key as we navigate these situations.
Each day, ask God for wisdom, understanding, and knowledge. Seek His guidance to live wisely and purposefully on this earth. Setting healthy boundaries will help protect your dreams and allow you to stay focused on what truly matters.
Always remember, we are not here to please people—we are here to live a life that is pleasing to God. When we align our hearts with His purpose, He will lead and protect us through every challenge.
Stay blessed, stay vigilant, and keep your focus on Him.
