What You Hold Within is what you Reflect

For days now, a verse has whispered through my mind—

"Therefore consider carefully how you listen.

Whoever has will be given more;
Whoever does not have, even what they think they have will be taken from them." —Luke 8:18
Some with riches remain poor in spirit, while those with little overflow with abundance.
Not because of what they own, but because of what they hold within.
And what you neglect, life will take away.

At first, it puzzled me. But like a seed planted in quiet soil, its meaning began to bloom.

I thought of the times when life felt unkind, when everything I held dear seemed to slip through my fingers. I had grasped so tightly, yet still, it faded. And then, I noticed—there were others with so little, yet their hearts overflowed. They had joy, kindness, and gratitude. And the more they embraced it, the more life gave them in return.

"Whoever has will be given more."

Happiness is not merely found it is carried, nurtured, and multiplied by those who cherish it. Love, peace, and even hope grow in the hands of those who hold them close.

And then, the second part of the verse struck me—

"Whoever does not have, even what they think they have will be taken from them."

How often do we cling to sadness, mistaking it for a home? How often do we let pain define us, feeding it as if it were all we had? Yet, the truth is, if we do not truly possess something be it joy, love, or even sorrow it will not stay. Even the misery we force upon ourselves eventually fades if it was never truly ours to begin with.

And so, life reveals its quiet irony—

For what you nurture, life will multiply.

"Focus on what you want your life to become, and life will follow."

Overview:

The message highlights the power of our inner mindset and emotions in shaping our lives. What we choose to nurture—whether joy, gratitude, or sadness—grows and attracts more of the same. Life rewards those who cherish what they have and quietly takes away from those who fail to recognize its value. The key to abundance lies in what we hold within.
