Lesson from Adam and Eve (Part-1):Living with Balance
God created Adam and Eve in His own image (Genesis 1:27 -So God created mankind in his own image, in the image of God he created them; male and female he created them.), giving them the opportunity to reflect His character and live in harmony with His will. They were entrusted with the responsibility of naming the animals and ruling over creation
Genesis 1:28-30
28. God blessed them and said to them, “Be fruitful and increase in number; fill the earth and subdue it. Rule over the fish in the sea and the birds in the sky and over every living creature that moves on the ground.”
29. Then God said, “I give you every seed-bearing plant on the face of the whole earth and every tree that has fruit with seed in it. They will be yours for food.30. And to all the beasts of the earth and all the birds in the sky and all the creatures that move along the ground everything that has the breath of life in it—I give every green plant for food.” And it was so.
This role brought them joy and fulfillment. However, when they were given a boundary not to eat from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil they struggled to obey and ultimately disobeyed God’s command (Genesis 2:16-17, Genesis 3:6).
The lesson here is about living life in balance. God gives us blessings, but they come with guidance and boundaries to help us thrive. When we honor these boundaries, we keep the blessings intact. Living in obedience and self-control allows us to fully enjoy what God has entrusted to us.
